INNNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

GENERAL BASIS OF PROPOSALS

The following short descriptions relate to the function of technologies which are available for exploitation and development. The general terms which apply are intended to be broadly similar in each case. The level of commitment required is expected to reflect the potential market for the technology. No disclosure of detail will be made to any party prior to financial commitment having been confirmed. Once commitment is made, a patent will be filed and the investing party given exclusive access to any intellectual property contained in the patent.

Companies which operate research and development departments cannot guarantee that the efforts of their engineers and scientists will result in new products or insights. Each one of the proposals outlined is a potential new product. It is available without the risk of employing a team, or even an individual, to search without any promise of tangible results.

No business plan is available or intended at the present time. Each corporation has its own perception of the manner in which a venture ought to be conducted. This applies to all aspects of their business model. It would be counterproductive to second guess the manner in which an organisation or individual would exploit any of the technologies put forward. Interested parties whether individuals or businesses are invited to submit proposals and we will be happy to work with them to refine their plan.

The proposals made result from several years of research. They are offered in good faith on an "As is" basis. It is believed that each proposal is novel and forms the basis of a sound business investment. However, no guarantees of any sort are given or implied.

REDUCTION OF RESONANCE VIBRATIONS IN TWIN ENGINE POWER UNITS

Twin engine power unit are frequently used in marine installations. Vibration produced by the engines is often noticeable throughout the vessel in the form of "Drumming" which varies in intensity. As well as being uncomfortable for passengers, the drumming has the potential to cause structural wear and tear over a protracted period. It is to be expected that engine efficiency will be lower than in a plant where no such drumming was present. This technical solution can be applied to vessels ranging in size from luxury pleasure craft to bulk carriers. Use of the technology is not restricted to marine applications.

A METHOD FOR ACHIEVING CONSISTENT TIGHTENING OF BOLTS

In order to avoid structural failure in the steelwork of major civil engineering projects, there is a need to ensure that loading is spread as equally as possible between the bolts in each joint. To achieve this objective, there are a variety of techniques in current use, including bolts of sophisticated construction. The approach put forward here represents a cheap alternative method.

IMPROVEMENTS APPLICABLE TO SOLAR THERMAL AND PV PANELS

Solar water heating panels and photovoltaic panels are being increasingly used in domestic as well as commercial applications. Although the technology is in many ways fairly sophisticated, in other respects it is still in its formative stages of development. The proposed technology offers the potential to increase the efficiency of solar panels and enable them to compete more effectively against other sustainable technologies.
